Admissions

St. Edmund School is a nonprofit organization. St. Edmund School accepts student applications for admission to any grade regardless of race, creed, or national origin. There is no discrimination in the admission of educational policies, financial aid, athletics or extracurricular programs.
Admissions preference if given in the following order:
First: Brothers and sisters of Catholic families presently attending the school.
Second: Catholic families from St. Anthony Parish (active parishioners).
Third: Catholic families of St. Thomas More Parish (active parishioners).
Fourth: All other Catholic families.
Fifth: Brothers and sisters of Non-Catholic families presently attending the school.
Sixth: Open to anyone who can meet the academic and Christian standards of the school.
St. Edmund School abides by the policy of the Diocese of Lafayette on school integration, which is as follows:
Catholic Schools of the Diocese are committed to the principle of school integration, be that in a Catholic or public school. By policy, therefore Catholic Schools are obliged to support this principle by refusing admission to those applicants who by public acts, in the judgment of the school, do not uphold this principle and thus seek refuge in a Catholic School.
